Supermoon Night: Watch CAPCOM Go! and Observe the Moon

October 17 @ 6:30 pm - 7:45 pm

$5

Join us at Wiley Planetarium to celebrate October’s Full Supermoon! We will begin with a tour of the October skies then watch the planetarium film CAPCOM GO! The Apollo Story. If the skies are clear, we will observe the full moon with binoculars. If the skies are cloudy, we will observe the full moon in the planetarium, then follow up with some lunar-themed activities.

CAPCOM Go!: On July 20th 1969, 600 million people around the world gathered to witness a historic moment of human achievement. The world celebrated as astronauts took their first steps on the Moon. But few people were aware of just how huge an effort it had taken to get them there. These Apollo 11 astronauts were just 2 of nearly 400,000 people who had worked over ten years towards this goal. How did they do it, and what did it take to put humans on the Moon? Find out with us!
